Always wanted to sew your own clothes, but you don’t have any sewing experience? Or have you already sewn a few things, but they never really came out the way you would have liked? Usva offers you a course in which you will learn all the basic techniques to make your own clothes.
This course is suitable for beginners as well as more advanced sewers. Beginners will start by learning the basic skills behind the sewing machine. For the more advanced sewers there are plenty of other, more challenging techniques to master, such as inserting zippers and other important techniques that will make your clothes look more professional. Several subjects will be discussed in class. We start with a short introduction; afterwards each student can work independently on a project of their own choice.
Once you are enrolled, you will receive an email with a document you need to read before the course starts. It contains a list of things you need to bring to the course. This course is offered in English.
This course starts on Thursday 15 January 2026 at 19.00 and will be 7 weeks in a row on the same day and time. The course will take place in the Green & Blue Room in Usva.
